Error when using vCenter recently.
Unexpected character “ (cod 65279 / 0xfeff) in prolong; expected ‘ <’ at [row,col {unknown-source}]: {1,1}
This error is part of a bug in the C# vSphere Client.
Upgrading to the latest ESXi 5.5 vSphere Client will resolve this.
Microsoft announced last Tuesday that they would be extending support for the following SharePoint products:
Will now have their extended support cutoff delayed till April 2013 2021 due to COVID19. Originally it was scheduled for October 13 2020.
Major note here is that FAST Search for SharePoint 2010 and Office Web Apps 2010 will still be out of extended support on October 13 2019.

In my Pre-Prod environment, noticed that CommVault was not performing VM Snapshots on a particular server.
Checked vCenter and saw that there was a message saying that the Virtual Machine disks required consolidation.
Right click on the VM and click Consolidate.
It would run for a while and then get an error saying;
An error occurred while consolidating disks: msg.fileio.lock.
Resolution:
vMotion the storage to another datastore to release the lock. Then vMotion back to the same datastore.
Was then able to do a Disk Consolidation without any issues.
